Civil Students Return from Leadership Summit
Civil Engineering students Ian Hargrove, Stephane Bossio, Josilyn Mitchell, Leonides Miranda, Carl Cooney, and Elkanah Knowles have returned from the Midwest Student Leadership Summit at Iowa State University in late September 2016.
During the summit, students attended specific skill-focused sessions on ethics and career advice, resume workshops and practice interviews, public speaking and project management, student development, industry discussion, student outreach, photo scavenger hunts, virtual reality tours, and learned about the future of Transportation Engineering.
JoNetta Kuhnau, Michael Sanderson, Marsha Bomar, Paul Trombino III were among many others invited to speak to the students.
This trip was made possible by sponsorship of the University of Arkansas Transportation Leaders for the 21st Century student group.
