Student Wins Poster Competition

Airam Morales, a doctoral student in asphalt pavement materials, won the student poster competition at the 93rd AAPT (Association of Asphalt Paving Technologist) Annual Meeting.

The meeting, held March 18-21, 2018, in Jacksonville, FL, included fifteen posters from students across the world, including multiple universities in the United States, Costa Rica, Switzerland, and China.  A panel of judges reviewed the technical content, visual presentation, and a five minute oral presentation from each student.  Airam’s poster was titled “Ruggedness Test of Fracture Energy and Flexibility Index using Semi-Circular Bend Test” and will be a part of her doctoral dissertation.
